You are the house of God!

Yes! The Bible says that we, His people, are the dwelling place of the Most High God. What a wonderful privilege! Meditate on this:

“Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?” (1 Corinthians 3:16)

God does not dwell in temples made by human hands. Though we are imperfect, He has chosen to live in us. This means that all His children, redeemed by Jesus Christ, are no longer visited by God but inhabited by Him. It means you are never alone. God is with you, inside of you!

Of course, we are a work in continuous construction. We need Christ to shine His light on us, to make the necessary changes, to clean out all the hidden areas and corners. In short, we need Him to make our lives a pleasant home where He can dwell.

Become a beautiful sanctuary, dedicated to God.

• Let God feel at home in your life. Seek His holiness daily.

• God is not a strange visitor in your house. Don’t push Him out of your life.

• Pray and allow God to remove all hidden trash and organize all the mess inside you.

• Give God autonomy in your house; give Him the throne of your heart.

• Only the work of the Spirit of God will bring the real change, the real transformation you need.

To pray:

Lord my God, thank You for choosing to dwell among Your people. Help me to be a good home for You. I know You see my imperfections and are working on each of them. Remove all the rubble of the past; cleanse me! Help me to dedicate myself more to You. Illuminate my inner being and feel at home in every area of my life. You are my Lord. Reign and direct my entire being, in the name of Christ. Amen!
