There is no other gospel.

As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!(Galatians 1:9)

There are always people wanting to update the message of Jesus by creating new things. These people think they are special and can bring "renewal." The big problem with that is if the message preached is not consistent with the New Testament gospel that the apostles preached, it must be rejected.

The Bible is very extensive and contains a lot of information, narratives, and practical commandments. We could dedicate our entire lives to studying it, and even so, we wouldn’t be able to fulfill or understand everything. Don’t be presumptuous! Be content with the Bible as it is and strive to know it better.

Paul doesn’t just condemn those who preach a false gospel, but he also disapproves of the Galatian churches for believing that false message. Know your faith well and be faithful to the Word of God!

Learn and Grow

• Seek and study: What are the most important doctrines for your faith? Study them.

• Make a list of doctrines and biblical questions and clarify those doubts as time goes by. That will help you grow.

• Read the letter to the Galatians and allow the Word to instruct you more on the matter.

Lord, my Father and my God, I ask you to forgive me if at any time I have strayed in my faith by believing in what I shouldn’t. Give me strength and equip me through the power of the Holy Spirit to mature in my faith and grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. I pray that my faith stands firm like a rock, firm in what is right. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
