The punishment that brought us peace

He was pierced for our transgressions,

and crushed for our iniquities;

upon him fell the chastisement, the price of our peace,

and by his stripes we are healed.

(Isaiah 53:5)

More than just words, Jesus gave Himself up for us on the cross. He suffered, was humiliated and died in our place. He took upon Himself our pains and our transgressions!

The apparent defeat with death became a great victory. On the third day, Jesus Christ rose from the dead! Death could not contain Him, the devil lost and we were freed from the slavery of sin.

Being aware of this victory makes us more than conquerors. Recognizing Christ as our Savior allows us to walk a new history: a path of faith and eternal life with him!

The punishment he endured was for you. Yes, he endured everything for you! Enjoy the peace that Christ gave you, cherish his sacrifice on the cross. Remember that no one else can give you the peace that Christ offers.
