Romans 12:1-3
Therefore, brothers, I urge you by the mercies of God to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Do not be conformed to this world; rather, be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.For I say to each one of you, through the grace given to me, not to think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think soberly, in accordance with the measure of faith that God has given to each of you.(Romans 12:1-3)
Life is full of changes. In our childhood, we have preferences that change when we reach adolescence. As adults, we no longer have the same perceptions we had when we were young. We grow, and our mind transforms.
When we are born again (2 Corinthians 5:17), we die to the world, and our worldly mind is also buried. We see beyond what our physical eyes can see; we see with the eyes of the Spirit. We are no longer bound by the desires of this world but seek the things above (Colossians 3:2).
Transforming the mind is part of being "born again." This transformation is daily and ongoing; it distances us from old habits and the things that limit our minds. By living God's Word, our minds expand, and we experience the true meaning of life, the love of God.
Renew your mind through Christ
Becoming a new creation is an active process. Abandon old habits and everything that separates you from God.
The Bible is the guidebook for renewing our minds.
Read it daily.Seek the company of those who, like you, are pursuing the renewal of their minds. Grow in fellowship.
To pray
Lord God, I no longer have the same mind as before; every day I learn more about You. Help me in the transformation of my mind. I want to focus on the things above and contribute to the transformation of more minds through You. Amen.
