Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your tent. (Psalm 91:9-10)
The Lord God is our best refuge. It is in Him that we feel protected and sheltered. It is wonderful to experience God's protection over us; it brings us calm and confidence.
To receive the Lord's protection, we must trust Him with all our hearts. Part of that trust means placing God first in our lives. The more we prioritize God, the more our trust in Him grows.
The result of this trust is a strong relationship with God. We will not fear confessing everything to Him. A sincere prayer invites God's movement. He hears us, and we receive His coverage. This divine protection extends to our families. A house built on the rock that is Christ will remain firm and protected.
The Lord is My Shelter
The best way to find refuge in the Lord is through prayer. Talk to God, share your troubles and fears with Him. God listens and responds to our prayers.
The best way to trust in God is through reading His Word. Through it, we learn about the promises of our Lord and strengthen our faith.
No matter the storms we face, knowing that God is in the boat with us makes all the difference. Therefore, do not fear difficulties: continue with God.
Prayer:
Lord, I trust in You. Keep me according to Your word and protect me from evil. There is nothing that can withstand Your power; You have done everything and can do everything. In Your presence, I feel safe and loved, which is why I praise You. You are my shelter! Amen.
