The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, and His compassion never fails. Every morning His mercies are renewed; great is His faithfulness!

(Lamentations 3:22-23)

God is the Lord of All Mercy!

Extending mercy means showing kindness and forgiveness instead of giving someone the punishment they deserve. This is how God has acted from the very beginning. We would all have been consumed if He applied the judgment that humanity truly deserves. But thanks to His mercy, God remains by our side, patiently enduring our faults, healing our wounds, and lovingly teaching us how to be better.

It is difficult to comprehend such an attitude that expects nothing in return, that only loves us, that has empathy, and shows concern in the midst of our misery, suffering, and pain.

Even more, the Lord never tires of forgiving and does not harbor resentment against the wrongs we commit against Him. God demonstrated that He is the Father full of mercy when He sent Jesus to bear on the cross the pain, anguish, and punishment that we all deserved. Christ died our death so that we may live today with the hope of eternal life. Renew your faith and hope every morning, for God's mercy is renewed upon you!

His Mercies Never End:

  • When you wake up in the morning, remember God's love and mercy. Trust in Him sincerely, and you will find the strength to face the new day.

  • Surrender yourself to the Lord and lay your heavy burdens at the foot of the cross.

  • Leave your anxiety before God. He cares for you.

  • Pray and cry out for the Lord’s mercy with constant prayer. Speak with God in silence several times a day. God is always present and listening to you.

  • Read the Bible. Learn more about God's goodness through the Holy Scriptures.

  • Do not be discouraged in your walk of faith, even if you feel you are progressing slowly or if you have fallen and saddened the Father. God is merciful and will help you move forward.

For Prayer:

Lord God, I thank You for Your infinite mercies. It is because of Your great love that we are alive on this new day. Have mercy on my situation and help me move forward. I want to always thank You for Your grace revealed in Jesus. Thank You so much for sustaining and protecting our lives up to this point. I praise You because I know You are always good. Amen.
