It is more important to obey God than men.

"It is necessary to obey God rather than men!" —Peter and the other apostles replied (Acts 5:29).

The apostles and disciples were given the challenging mission by Christ to proclaim the Gospel. However, the Jewish leaders rejected it, refusing to listen and trying to stop them from preaching the message of the Lord Jesus. In our times, we face different limitations, but the impositions are quite similar. Men who reject God attempt to silence the genuine Gospel with their secular agendas and dominant ideologies.

But it is more important to obey God than men. Strive to live by the principles and values of the Bible, no matter the cost. Proclaim the entire Word of Jesus Christ, even if some reject or try to stop you. No human institution will fulfill the task that belongs to God's Church. Therefore, in the strength of the Holy Spirit, arm yourself with the tools God gives and testify to the world about the salvation of Jesus.

Obey God first.

• Meditate: Do you agree or lean towards current topics that the Bible does not support? Do you feel ashamed to tell your non-believing friends that you are an evangelical Christian?

• Adopt Christian conduct inside and outside the church. The world needs to see the character of Christ reflected in His people.

• Listen to the voice of God (His Word) and faithfully obey His commandments.

• Pray and testify about what Christ has done in your life. Speak and live out the love of God.

• Don’t hide. Make a difference by maintaining a steady and wise Christian stance.

To pray:

Lord God, help me obey You first, without fearing the judgment or rejection of others. May I follow Your truth, even when men defend lies and love darkness. Teach me to live with a burning faith, grounded in biblical principles, and to testify with a pure heart about Your true love. May my conscience be governed by Your laws above human standards. In Jesus' name, Amen.
