God will put laughter in your mouth.

"He will fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy." — Job 8:21

Job endured tremendous pain. His suffering was not only physical but also emotional and spiritual. He mourned his losses and struggled to understand the suffering he was experiencing. Additionally, he was judged by everyone (even by his friends), as if he were a great sinner deserving such punishment. But only God knew the true heart of that man and his integrity.

Amid all the attacks Job faced, one of his friends declared an important truth: God does not reject the righteous. He will once again fill your mouth with laughter and joy on your lips. In fact, only God truly knows us and can grant us complete joy. Psalm 126 also encourages us in this regard:

"Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, ‘The Lord has done great things for them.’" — Psalm 126:2

Believe it! Despite all the suffering we face, God can grant us real and true joy. The Lord knows your heart and character. He is the just Judge who will take care of your cause even when you are unjustly accused. Jesus Christ strengthens you and helps you face life’s challenges. Believe beyond your circumstances. God will fill you with endless joy!

To pray:

Lord our God, fill me with your joy today! May the sufferings that affect us not steal the joy and hope of a glorious life in Your presence. Teach me to trust You even when I don't understand the reasons for so many difficulties. May Your joy strengthen me! And may Christ always be my goal and the reason for my joy. In Jesus' name, amen.
