Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in His holy habitation.God sets the lonely in families.(Psalm 68:5-6a)
This may be your condition today: you are missing the presence or the most important family references in your life... You may have suffered the loss of your father, your mother, or both, and today you are an orphan... Or perhaps you are a widow or widower... Or you feel alone because you have lost a child, a friend, or a companion and feel abandoned. It may be that, even though you haven’t experienced any of these situations of loss, you feel lonely, like someone who, though surrounded by a great crowd of people, feels great loneliness. With no one to truly trust.
Whatever your story or situation, there is hope for you. God is the faithful and true friend of all those who feel lonely. He is a Father to those who have no parents, defends the rights of widows, and sets the lonely in families. Trust in this God who cares for all who feel weak, abandoned, and lonely. Being with Jesus, you will never feel alone again.
Abandoning Loneliness Today:
Believe that God is always present. Trust even when you cannot feel Him because Jesus promised to always be by your side. You can trust Him!
Pray every time you feel lonely, cry out to Jesus Christ! Tell Him everything that is happening to you.
Besides God, who never abandons you, you can also count on other people. Look around and you will see how God adds special people to your life.
Do not stop congregating. Don’t give in to the natural tendency to isolate yourself; seek your family in faith, gather in a church, talk, and ask for prayer from other brothers and sisters in Christ
.Read the Bible, listen to, and sing praises. Fill your heart every day with the Word and the joy of God.
Prayer:
Beloved Father, thank You for taking care of all those who feel lonely. Thank You for caring about our condition, hearing our prayers, and filling the void in our hearts with Your great love. Help me feel that with You, I will never be alone and that You can increase my friends and add a great family in You. I thank You because You are my best and greatest friend. In Jesus' name, amen.
