God has loved us forever

God created us and loved us from the very beginning. He loved us before we were even aware of who we are. God’s love knows no physical or temporal barriers. He has loved us forever! When we realize that God loves us and recognize His proof of love embodied in Jesus, our lives take on a new perspective. We are overwhelmed by a wave of gratitude that leads us to ask what we did to deserve such love. If we seek a reason justified in ourselves, we won’t find one. God chose to love us because He is God! We receive His love freely and must reciprocate it in the same way. Love God unconditionally. Correspond to God’s love by loving Him. That "two-way street" is called a relationship. To love and be loved—that is the relationship God wants to have with us.

To reciprocate God’s love:

• Love God (1 Chronicles 16:34 and Deuteronomy 6:5).

• Love your neighbor (Matthew 22:36-40 and 1 John 4:19-21).

• Obey His Word (John 14:15 and John 14:21).

• Share His love (Matthew 28:19-20 and Mark 16:15).

Try to love God in all these ways and remain in His love! He loves you and wants to be by your side at all times.

Lord, it is so good to receive Your love! Your grace has reached me, and all I can do is thank You for this sublime love. Thank You so much, Father! Amen.
