Vain hope of victory is the horse;
though his strength is great, he cannot save.
But the Lord cares for those who fear him,
those who hope in his great love;
he delivers them from death,
and in times of famine he keeps them alive.
(Psalm 33:17-19)
There are times when we seem to drift and everything we try to do ends in failure. No matter how hard we try, things just don't work out. It is during those times that we must decide to stop looking to “earthly solutions” and focus our eyes on the heights.
Are we seeking God in the midst of our struggles or do we only cry out to him when we exhaust all alternatives to solve our problems? Even when we put all our dedication and willpower, our victory comes from God. We may have strength, talent and even financial conditions, but without God there is no guarantee of salvation.
God is faithful to protect us even in times of scarcity. Trust in him, for the Lord protects those who fear him.
Cry out to the one who makes the difference
Seek God's presence and ask for His direction.
Having good conditions is not a sign that we are doing well. Seek God always, in the midst of any circumstance.
If things are not going well, talk to God. He is ready to hear your voice and wants to operate great things in your life. Don't procrastinate.
To pray:
Lord, take care of me, please. Without you, nothing I do is safe. My strength is limited and only your presence can make a difference in my life. Guide me with your mighty hand. In Jesus' name, amen.
